Negotiations

After a 101-day period of picketing, the AMPTP and WGA have reached an agreement to resume negotiations, scheduled for Friday, August 11th, at 2 pm PT.

The WGA has communicated with its members via email, stating, “Carol Lombardini has requested a meeting between the WGA Negotiating Committee and AMPTP negotiators on Friday. We anticipate receiving responses from the AMPTP regarding WGA proposals. Our committee is prepared to engage in discussions with the goal of achieving an equitable agreement. We draw strength from the unwavering support of the unified WGA membership and our union allies. Further updates will follow.”

Numerous issues, including staffing levels, weekly compensation, residuals, and a range of other matters, still need resolution. Nevertheless, the fact that talks are resuming marks a positive stride towards the collective return to work.
